we make a great team, and are always thinking of new things to make
the children's program even more exciting and fun for them.
I also have a Substitute that fills in whenever any of us are sick... her name is Shaunna... she has a great backround with children through working at her church nursery, Shaunna is also wonderful with the children. I consider myself "lucky" to have such a wonderful Staff!!!!!!!

What is Mother Goose Time?
Mother Goose Time is a professionally planned preschool curriculum that offers monthly packets of theme based hands-on activities and arts and crafts, providing a balance of important preschool skill experiences for 2 1/2 to 5 year old children.

Activities

I am involved in a Cedar Mill Community Library program, where 50 new books are delivered to my doorstep each month! A Library coordinator also comes to my daycare once a month to
sit and read stories to the children. We also have activities coordinating with
the stories we have read. An example of a fun fingerplay is :
There was a liitle turtle
And he lived in a box
He swam in the puddle
And he climbed on the rock.
He snapped at the mosquito (clap)
He snapped at a bee (clap)
He snapped at a minnow, (clap)
And He snapped at me. (clap)
He caught the mosquito (cup hands)
He caught the bee (cup hands)
He caught the minnow Cup hands)
But he didn't catch me (point to self)
"Very fun! Children love to learn new songs and fingerplays. It is now something that THEY know and can sing on their own. "

When we can throughout the year we will offer classes that are geared towrds the interest of the children and are an affordable rate for parents....

On my playground I have huge covered sandbox, two playhouses, lots of riding toys, a teeter totter, play structure and so much room for children to run, they will be well excercised for the day. We love to play baseball, soccer, follow the leader, obstacle courses ect.... We also do a few camp outs in the backyard during the summer. (over three years) These activities are announced on the monthly newsletter.
We have many monthly activities per month. A favorite is Pajama day
(slipping on footed PJ's and having a snuggly day is so much fun),
Show and tell is a regular activity twice a month, Holidays
and Birthdays are always celebrated. Special Birthdays such as
(for example) Elmos was celebrated as well.
We also have a monthly Parent's night out. Parents can have
an evening out to themselves and have no worries knowing their
children are in their own comfortable childcare environment.
The children also get a night of a special dinner, art and movie
with popcorn. The hours are from 6:00pm-10:00pm. For a very low
cost per child you can paint the town, put your dancing shoes on,
get errands done, or relax in a quiet home for a couple of hours.
Parent's love this monthly event and children love it to. It beats
trying to find a sitter. Activities such as these are just some of
the fun we have during the month.
